Dock Repair

As with any steel reinforced concrete structure, exposure to the elements can cause irreversible, cosmetic as well as structural damage .  The immeasurable damage caused by the elements is never less present than that of the seawalls and docks of the Florida Keys. 

The constant ebb and flow of the tides, as well as the extra stresses added by boat lifts & davits can cause the concrete to crack!  The cracking is where the problem begins!  Once the concrete cracks, the steel inside the concrete is then exposed to the harsh, salty enviornment which causes the steel to oxidize and expand.--The result is an ever expanding crack and eventual failure of the structure.

WHAT CAN BE DONE?-  This is a question fequently asked by the clients that are in need of repair.
